In general, I operate with some basic principles:

  • Helping you regulate your nervous system

  • Addressing any underlying issues that present themselves

I use a variety of therapies depending on what would be most effective for you. These include somatic (body-based), family systems, mindfulness, energetic, and psycho-spiritual therapies. I also incorporate a person-centered and strengths-based approach.

My role as a therapist is to compassionately hold space for you as your journey unfolds rather than directing you and providing you with answers.

Nervous system support:

When appropriate, we may incorporate yoga as therapy. I may offer you simple techniques that help to retrain the brain and heal the nervous system. I can provide you with tools to help you recognize and build upon your resilience and unique strengths. This increases your ability to remain centered and grounded during challenges.

Many clients want to experience more pleasure in their lives! Sometimes, in order to open up to greater pleasure, we may first need to explore how you are holding yourself off from pain. Your pleasure potential will expand the more you explore it.

Family systems approach:

Sometimes known as “parts work”. This approach refers to the idea that multiple parts reside within each of us. Sometimes a part of us can have unmet needs or have experienced trauma. This simple evidence-based approach allows each part to be seen, heard, and to release pain in order to heal and reintegrate into a whole system which is you.

Healing the fractured relationship within allows you to transform shame into confidence and fear into self-compassion.

Energetic healing methodology:

I offer a somatic therapy approach that uses energetic healing techniques. The modality is called Life Centered Therapy. It is designed to help find the source of an issue and provide healing on a quantum level. Rapid advances in the field of neuroscience support the understanding of the mind-body connection and the effectiveness of energy psychology.

When working with this modality, the results can often be more profound and faster than regular talk therapy.
